i-D, The Gender Agenda Issue

i-D is the British style magazine Terry Jones started in 1980. This is The Gender Agenda Issue, April 2008, Rinko Kikuchi on the cover shot by Matt Jones under the line Good Girl Gone Bad. Kikuchi had just become the first Japanese actor in half a century nominated for an Oscar, for Babel.. The issue runs i-D's long interest in how people build and bend gender through style, the thread that goes back to its earliest covers.
