A modern study in American essentials – lived-in staples shaped by quality, culture, and ease.

Hanover is an American clothing brand founded by Chris Black founded in 2025. We make everyday essentials — tees, polos, oxfords, sweatshirts, denim, and accessories — produced in Los Angeles with nothing priced over $300.

The idea behind the brand is simple: the foundation of American dressing shouldn't cost what it costs now. Hanover exists to make well-made clothes at a price that reflects what people actually wear day to day, not what the market has inflated them to.

Chris Black has spent over a decade behind brands we respect and as as a writer for New York Magazine, Interview, GQ and more. He co-hosts the podcast How Long Gone with friend of the brand Jason Stewart.

We source our materials in LA through a community of garment industry tailors and seamsters who help us construct garments from the best materials available. It's all cut and sewn in Los Angeles, CA.

Hanover is not trying to reinvent American clothing. It's trying to make it right.
